Immigration: The Government Shutdown
There is an estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants in the United States. Congress is currently debating about President Trump answer to the threat of illegal immigrants migrating into America. Although both sides have agreed that we should have better border security. Democrats believe that wasting billions in order to build a  wall is a moronic decision. This argument between the two parties has led to government shutdown. The shutdown has had a huge effect on society, leaving many workers furloughed wasting their savings in order to survive. The government shutdown was a puerile decision That has had negative effects on most government workers and national parks.
The government shutdown has had a pernicious effect on national parks leaving them without funds and leaving their workers furlough. Next to National Parks, a Winter of Worry perfectly illustrates the extensive damage the shutdown has on the community. Mr. Cordes shows the effects of the shutdown expressing that national parks cant pay enough to maintain the parks services; writing the parks roads have been closed because of the lack of funds to plow the snow. This emphasize the problem the shutdown creates because of the loss of fundings. Mr. Cordes also writes about Mr. and Mrs. Thompson a couple that has been affected saying the lack of visitors due to the shutdown has plummeted sales. During the interview, Mr. Thompson’s tone  turns to an angered one expressing that the government should not be able to do this to workers and ones with families. Mr. Corders doesn’t only show the direct problems of the shutdown but also puts the indirectly affected business of the shutdown, and how many people are victims of president Trump’s attempt to build a wall.
In the American Life: Barbara Jordan  Mr. glasses address a similar event to what cause the government shutdown.  Miki Meek address Prop 187 which wouldn't give undocumented immigrants benefits, the proposition was unconstitutional, but californians still voted for it. Democrats disagree with the proposition but agreed with the viewpoint that there was to many immigrants coming into America. It seems that history repeats itself becomes now just as in 1994 congress is currently debating of the border. The document shows that how immigration has always been a problem and will be a problem. Trump's plan to build a wall is Prop 187 of 2019 trying to limit the effect of immigrants on America. Although both situations are similar Trump's actions to shutdown the government takes the problem to another level, Causing damage to americans by putting workers in furloughed
NBCs fact check report on President Trump's tweet about the estimated value of money wasted on illegal immigrants, which helps explain President Trump's unwarranted viewpoints on mexican immigrants. Trump Tweeted that an estimated 200 billion dollars were wasted a year in order to support and pay for immigrants, but in reality it is only around 50 billion. On the contrary illegal immigrants still pay rent and for other services which clearly benefit the economy. Many immigrants uses false social security numbers to gain benefits and due to this it is estimated that immigrants pay 11 billion of taxes to the United States. Clearly Trumps doesn’t have the best viewpoint of the impact of immigrants, but that doesn't mean there is no impact, but that doesn't justify his decision to shutdown the government.

In conclusion President Trump’s decision to shutdown the government was a puerile decision causing damage to americans with jobs and leaving then furloughed; even though Trump wanted to conserve american jobs being taken by immigrants.

School/Public Policy

School Uniforms School uniforms are when pressed on students have a negative effect on there everyday life.  Firstly school uniforms don't let students freely express their choice in clothing. Many students have excitement when choosing their outfit for school. This becomes extremely evident on the first day of school or picture day where what you wear will be remembered in the yearbook. Uniforms restrict students from showcasing the creativity such as when trying to show school pride. In addition uniforms might cost to much for some students. Some benefits that school uniforms would have is creating a more equal environment. Although uniforms take students chances to take their ability to express them self the can still express them self in others other than their clothes.
