Writing skills blog


Image result for writing I have also improved my commentary. One way I have improved in writing is relating my commentary back to my thesis. I have worked on my commentary in all of my projects for AP U.S. History writing essays. Other skills I have practiced are compound and complex sentences.
  This year as  a writer i have learned numerous strategies & tips to improve my writing. One thing that has had the biggest impact on my writing is the vocabulary i have learned.
  Vocabulary has improved my writing & and made it sound more professional. I believe that the number of projects i have written have also had an extensive impact on my work. Many vocabulary words I have used in my essays for AP History and English to improve my essays.
  I hope to improve my writing skills while going on with school and college.

The chase Rhetorical analysis

Miguel Olmedo February 18, 2019 AP English 3 “The Chase” Rhetorical Analysis Annie Dillard’s the chase is chapter form Dillard’s autobiography in which she describes a memorable moment where she is chased through her neighbor. Dillard applies rhetorical strategies to explain how the chase occured. Dillard uses hyperbole in order to express how the intense the scene of the chase became. In addition Dillard also uses anaphora to describe the scene. Annie Dillard's Choice of words to describe the chase scene were deliberately choose in order intensified the scene. Although the chase only went on for a few blocks throughout her neighbor she uses hyperbole in order to express the distant they ran saying “We could have ran … until we got to Panama.” Cleary Dillard uses hyperbole in order to push the Excitement of the chase. As time passed and technology improved there was a variety of different types of games that offered different benefits. With the creation of different games such as first person shooters and role- playing games they began to offer more than just entertainment. Although video games can cause sleep deprivation. Video games allow people to improve their leadership, teach cooperation, and help socialize with other people. Therefore video games provide players with positive benefits. Some may argue being confined in a room may make people antisocial, however video games enhance the ability to socialize.  Playing video games gives the ability to socialize online.
